Dr. Flora Tassone
Dr. Flora Tassone is a molecular geneticist with more than two decades of research focused on the mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders.
Her work centers on FMR1-associated conditions, where she made foundational contributions to understanding CGG repeat instability, mosaicism, epigenetic regulation, and RNA toxicity in Fragile X–associated disorders.
Her current research integrates transcriptomic, metabolomic, and proteomic approaches to develop molecular biomarkers aimed at improving diagnosis, disease monitoring, and therapeutic evaluation.
