VHP (Very High Polarization), also known as High-Pol Sugar, is a premium-grade raw cane sugar produced primarily for industrial refining and international export markets.
Characterized by a high sucrose content—typically exceeding 99.4° polarization—VHP sugar is recognized for its light brown appearance, low moisture content, and superior refining efficiency. The refining process leaves only a thin layer of molasses coating the sugar crystals, resulting in improved storage stability, reduced stickiness, and easier handling during transportation and processing.
Its high purity and efficient refining characteristics make VHP sugar faster and more cost-effective to process into refined white sugar compared to conventional raw sugars. As a result, VHP sugar remains one of the most widely traded raw sugar grades in global commodity markets.
